New powerful painkiller has abuse experts worried
Mon Dec 26, 2011
A more pure painkiller, for those who actually need them, would reduce the number of pills you'd have to take. I had severe arm pain for about three months due to a permanent problem with my neck. I went through three meds, including hydrocodone, that didn't work.
Heart surgeon, 2 others die in helicopter crash

The object is to get the organ to the recipient as fast as possible. If weather prevented a flight, then driving would be the alternative if they could make it within a time limit. And I sure as heck wouldn't want to make that drive from Jax to Gainesville with a human organ.
Man condemned to death in Conn. home invasion

In Texas, they would have moved to the front of the line so no extra tax bills after appeals have been exhausted. I think it would happen even here in Florida. Alabama is starting to ship them out quickly via a hearse too. At least Connecticut came to its senses to keep the death penalty.
Time to say adios to Mexico travel?
Wed Jun 8, 2011
I want to visit Cozumel, Akumal and the Mayan ruins. I should probably do it soon while the prices are cheaper.
Waiting for midnight, hungry families on food stamps give Walmart 'enormous spike'
Mon Nov 28, 2011
When I was in school in the 70's--we're talking junior high, it was a status symbol for black girls to have Welfare babies. They purposely got pregnant to do so and they all did it with few exceptions. If they didn't have their first kid by 9th grade, they were picked on.
Mystery disease diagnosed at clinic of last resort
Thu Nov 17, 2011
I have a lack of spinal fluid from c2 to c-something (I can't remember). I can't find a bit of information about it anywhere. I wonder if these folks would tackle it?
Being too polite to your waitress may cost you money
Thu Nov 3, 2011
If I hadn't been nice to my guests when I was a waitress, I'd have never made any money. I was the WORST technical waitress ever. I disagree with a lot of this. A genuinely pleasant wait staff will always make up for screw-ups. Every time.
Court halts Ala. schools' checking of immigration status

What is the debate here? You are here legally or not and must prove it. End of story. No taxpayer should be against this. Legals have enough problems as it is with the economy. Illegals drain the system (schools, police/fire/hospitals for example). Many don't have car insurance.
Do you think a woman can be single and happy?
Tue Oct 11, 2011
I am SO happy I never married the men I loved. I have gotten more selfish with every birthday and I like to do as I please.
Shelters find creative ways to combat ‘Black Dog Syndrome’
Tue Oct 4, 2011
How silly. The best pet I ever had was a solid black Persian. She was awesome. She was 20 when we had to put her to sleep a couple of months ago. She just gave out. My gosh she was 100x smarter than my other cats. I decided if you own a black cat, there is only good luck.
